These regulations dictate that your pool must be enclosed by a compliant pool safety barrier, designed to prevent unsupervised access by children under five years old. However, these rules and standards do not apply to residential properties that are 1.8 hectares or larger.
Before you can lease the property, you must obtain a compliance certificate to confirm that your pool meets safety requirements.
To ensure that the pool and all associated equipment is well-maintained during the tenancy, we strongly recommend engaging a professional to conduct a pool handover, often referred to as a 'Show & Tell.' This session will educate the new tenants on pool care, helping them keep the pool clean and clear throughout their lease and ensuring it's in the same condition upon vacating.
